Arbonne
What is the Arbonne Difference?

My name is Melissa Von Rohr and I am an Independent Consultant with Arbonne International. I am not a high-maintenance person. I wear little makeup (if I do have time to put it on at all!) and I do not color my prematurely gray hair. But I do have extremely high standards, and have always been concerned with what I put in and on my body.
I battled severe acne into my twenties and was on every medication available. This taught me that I had to be extremely careful about what I used on my skin. It wasn’t until I began using aromatherapy and botanical oils (and ditched the medications) that my skin began to heal. Only then did I begin to understand how all the medications dried and irritated my sensitive skin, exacerbating my problem.
I continued to embrace complementary and alternative medicine and worked in an editorial
capacity for a leading Aromatherapy magazine and later as the editor for the complementary medicine book program for a leading medical publisher. It was my honor to work with some of the world’s leading experts in aromatherapy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy and naturopathic medicine. All of these experiences further impressed upon me that the most intelligent choice we can make for ourselves is to find the place that nature and science are working together to bring out the best of both. I left the professional world when I had my daughter, and then I was introduced to Arbonne.
I never envisioned my future would be representing a skin care and makeup company. But I fell in love with Arbonne’s products, and the company embodies the values I hold most dear: high standards, integrating the best of science and nature, concern for animals and the environment.
What I Love About Arbonne

Arbonne is a Swiss-formulated, Made-in-the-USA skincare, makeup and nutrition company. As a result of my experiences, you could say I am a natural product snob. I have tried a LOT of botanically-based products over the years—including making my own from scratch—and Arbonne’s products work better for me than anything else I have tried. I can sum up why I love these products with three words: Quality, Value and Benefit.
Quality Arbonne’s products are botanically-based, we do not use mineral oil, animal products or by-products, dyes or chemical fragrances.
Value Though our products may seem pricey at first glance, they are actually an excellent value. The sizes are generous. And because they are based on beneficial plant ingredients and not fillers, they are extremely concentrated and therefore last longer. It’s not unheard of for a cleanser or moisturizer to last 3 months, or an eye cream to last 6-12 months, though timeframe depends on individual usage.
Benefit Unlike many products on the market, Arbonne’s products do what they say they will do! Our product development team has to see a clinically proven benefit or they send it back to the drawing board.
I joined Arbonne because I love the products, I believe they are superior in quality, and the company philosophy jives with my own values. However, I also believe that what you use on your body and in your home is highly personal and that the best way to know if Arbonne suits you is to try it out for yourself. Good things from the Earth
Since its inception, Arbonne has had six strict criteria for every product they manufacture. All of our proprietary ingredients are:
* Botanically-based: Science is catching up with traditional wisdom every day, proving that the vitamins, minerals and amino acids in botanicals are more easily assimilated than their synthetic alternatives.
* pH correct: Products whose pH is outside of your skin’s delicate pH range compromise the skin's acid mantle, making you more susceptible to bacteria and infection.
* Hypoallergenic: Arbonne insists on 100% positive results from insult patch tests before a product is made available to the consumer.
* Dermatologist-tested: Our products are tested by volunteers under the watchful eye of an independent dermatologist.
* Never tested on animals: All tests are performed on volunteer human pane
ls at independent laboratories.
* Formulated without animal products or by-products: Animal products come from actual animal cells and tissues. Animal by-products are what is left over from rendering plants. Arbonne is Vegan-Certified and on the approved list of PETA products.
* Formulated without mineral oil: Mineral oil seals the skin and neither lets beneficial moisture or ingredients penetrate, nor allows your body’s toxins to escape. Some experts now consider mineral oil to be the second leading cause of premature aging next to sun damage because it is so dehydrating and causes photosensitivity.
* Formulated without dyes or chemical fragrances: These account for the top two allergens people encounter. If you don’t use animal products, you don’t need extra chemical preservatives to stabilize the material, nor do you need heavy fragrances to cover up the smell of chemical preservatives!
